GCash USDT: How to Cash Out USDT to GCash in the Philippines
You've received USDT in your Tron wallet and you want pesos in GCash. It's a two-step process and there are several routes — some faster, some cheaper. Here's exactly how to do it, which platforms to use, and how to avoid the common mistakes that cost Filipinos money.
- GCash does not accept USDT directly — you need a middle step to convert to pesos first.
- Coins.ph is the easiest route for small amounts and pays directly to GCash.
- Binance P2P offers better rates for larger amounts with direct GCash settlement.
- Cut the incoming USDT transfer fee from 13 TRX to 4 TRX using Energy delegation before the sender sends.
How USDT to GCash Works
GCash is a mobile wallet — it handles Philippine pesos, not crypto. So converting USDT to GCash requires two steps: first convert the USDT to pesos on an exchange or P2P platform, then receive the pesos in your GCash account. The whole process can take as little as 10 minutes for small amounts, or up to an hour for larger transfers depending on which route you use.
The key variable is cost. Each route has a different spread between the USDT buy price and the peso rate you actually receive. Here's how the main options compare.
Route 1: Binance P2P (Best Rates for Larger Amounts)
Binance P2P is the most popular route for Filipinos cashing out larger USDT amounts. You post a sell order (or take an existing buy order) and the buyer sends you pesos directly via GCash. No exchange spread — just the P2P rate, which is typically within 0.5–1% of the market rate.
DEPOSIT USDT TO BINANCE
Send your USDT (TRC-20) to your Binance deposit address. Takes 1–3 minutes to confirm. Make sure you select TRC-20 network — not ERC-20.
PLACE A P2P SELL ORDER
Go to P2P Trading → Sell → USDT → PHP. Filter by GCash as payment method. Choose a buyer with high completion rate and good feedback. Confirm the order.
RECEIVE PESOS IN GCASH
The buyer sends pesos to your GCash number. Once you confirm receipt in the app, Binance releases your USDT to the buyer. Typical time: 5–15 minutes.
Route 2: Coins.ph (Easiest for Small Amounts)
Coins.ph is a BSP-licensed exchange that integrates directly with GCash. You deposit USDT to your Coins.ph wallet, convert to pesos at their rate, and withdraw directly to GCash or a bank. The process is simpler than Binance P2P but the rates are usually slightly worse — typically 1–2% below P2P market rates. Worth it for the convenience on smaller transfers (under ₱5,000).
Route 3: Maya (Growing Option)
Maya (formerly PayMaya) is adding crypto functionality progressively. They support USDT deposits for select users and allow conversion to pesos with withdrawal to your Maya wallet. The interface is simpler than Binance. Check the Maya app for current USDT support — availability has been expanding through 2025.
Cut the Transfer Fee Before Cashing Out
Before the USDT even arrives in your wallet, there's a fee on the sending end. If the person sending you USDT (an OFW abroad, a P2P buyer, a client) doesn't use Energy delegation, they burn 13 TRX per transfer. With Energy delegation, that drops to 4 TRX. The difference — 9 TRX (~$2.70) — comes out of the effective amount you receive.
If you're regularly receiving USDT from the same sender, ask them to use Energy delegation before each transfer. It takes 3 seconds on their end and saves both parties money.
